As a hybrid (Digital/analogue) photographer my style is very much inspired by the tones of your film images, soft greens, crisp whites, luminous palettes and natural skin tones. Integrated with beautiful black & whites.
The beautiful natural tones of your images will combine seamlessly from bridal prep to first dance. The tone while natural is still rich, inviting and above all, timeless. I want you to feel that timeless aesthetic when you look back at your wedding photographs in years to come. Fashionable edits and the latest trends are ok in the moment, however if you want long lasting style and prefer enhanced but true to life colours then this style is for you.
Natural wedding photography delivered with care and attention. I aim to deliver around 500 digital images (however I put no upper limit on this) along with your film images in print.
Its so important that you feel comfortable in front of the camera. Our portraiture sessions are fun, relaxed and therefore full of character and sincerity. I am totally led by you as to how much time you want to spend, but usually 25-30 minutes is sufficient time to create some stunning portraits. As an experienced wedding photographer you can rest assured I am confident in my approach to the timeline of your day, infact at times you will barely know I am there. One thing I love to do, as a lover of old and listed buildings is to capture the architecture of your venue when applicable, both within your portraits and as stand alone images, this really adds to the ambience of the day, after all you chose your venue for a reason.
I also love to make sure all those special details are captured, such as the flowers and rings, again you chose all these beautiful colours and items for a reason, and once the cake has been eaten, the clothes and shoes have been stored away you will have these gorgeous photos of all those wonderful details you chose, to my brides the details are the finishing touches, like the icing on the wedding cake!
The rest of the time It is my role to capture the very essence of your day.
This is where the documentary part of capturing your day comes into its own. Always observing, always anticipating the next opportunity to freeze a moment in time. So you and your loved ones can re-live those memories for years to come. The love and laughter, the tears and romance. All documented with creative flair. Not just a set of disjointed images but a visual story board of timeless, natural and artistic imagery. With you the couple at the center of my attention.
I work closely with a second photographer to ensure we have an excellent variety of images throughout the day.
About: Just a few words about me as this is really about you, but its good to get know each other, and I hope you will Contact me so we chat further, I love meeting new people and getting to know your story. When I am not working on editorials or shooting weddings I am teaching Yoga, I think there is a beautiful link between these two disciplines (photography & Yoga) which helps me create a connection between the images I take and the couples I am having the privilege to be photographing. I love all forms of Art, and studied art as a teenager. I have been very blessed to have had my photography work exhibited and published, from as local as here in the UK to New York, Europe, South Africa and Australia. At some point in the future I would love to study for a BA in mixed media when the time allows, but at the moment I am currently renovating an old victorian terrace back to its former glory! And concentrating all of my efforts into my happy couples, so I can deliver images that you will treasure for many years.
